8 yearsJob Description : PR0CUREMENT MANAGER UAE The role is responsible for managing all procurement of services and indirect materials (S&IM), including sourcing, contracting, supplier performance management, and all governance across the categories is in place and management of the team assigned. Drive the development and implementation of S&IM strategy, and support development of procurement's wider team strategy. Ensure procurement ownership of responsible S&IM sourcing activities, through early involvement in commercial discussions, and ensuring Strategic sourcing is performed for all responsible S&IM categories. Develop, validate and communicate innovative sourcing strategies for responsible S&IM spend categories in alignment with Strategic Sourcing process and Procurement Best Practices. Continuous assessment of S&IM categories to enhance understanding of market dynamics. Lead responsible S&IM category and business sourcing initiatives including key elements of pre-qualification of short listed suppliers, supplier and market analysis, negotiations, evaluations, supplier selection, risk assessment, implementation and formalisation of legal agreements. Ensure compliance (e.g. P2P, contracts, specifications) and governance (including the Supplier Code of Conduct) to the alignment of business and Procurement priorities. Drive structured quarter business reviews (QBRs) with key S&IM suppliers and business stakeholders to assess and measure supplier performance and compliance against KPIs, policies, category objectives, P2P, risk management strategies,in addition to two-way knowledge exchange and gathering of market intelligence. Assess and implement targeted demand management strategies to drive spend efficiencies. Develop, implement and continually reassess risk management strategies to ensure security of supply for S&IM. Perform the role of the Procurement Business Partner to ensure alignment of business and procurement strategies, report procurement performance to joint objectives, P2P compliance and early involvement in NPD. Proactive engagement and communication of high quality strategy summaries to the individual business stakeholders for all high priority responsible S&IM and business initiatives. Related degree in Business Management/Supply Chain/Logistics/Economics/Finance /Engineering. Minimum 8-10 years of experience total purchasing experience, with at least 2 years being in a management / leadership role within a FMCG/Manufacturing environment. 3+ years Strategic Procurement experience. Over a sustained period (2-3 yrs) has demonstrated success in delivering competitive advantage to the business through development and implementation of sourcing strategies for responsible spend categories. Ability to successfully lead cross functional and cross market teams. Ability to successfully lead projects. Successful use of TCO analysis, risk management, responsible sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). CIPSA, APICS, and/or CA qualifications viewed favourably. Full knowledge and proven history of implementation of Lean and Continuous Improvement in any of the leading global FMCG companies. Strong financial acumen– key business drivers, budgeting and forecasting. Good understanding of legal systems, processes and supply agreements. Excel and PPT usage at expert level.
