Job Description : CHIEF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER VIETNAM An exciting CIO job has just become available at a big logistics company based in Vietnam. As a CIO, you will be in charge of the company’s information technology, computer systems and infrastructure with duties including assessing current processes, recommending software and hardware improvements and directing the executive team on global best practices as well as building and implementing a professional IT function and strategy which will enable new port organisation to go live next year 2023. Build, set objectives and strategies for and manage the performance and effectiveness of IT function Select and implement suitable technology and support to ensure delivery of port services, streamline all internal operations and help optimize operational strategic benefits Design and customise IT systems and platforms to improve customer experience Implement and plan new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organisation Approve purchases of IT equipment and software and establish partnerships with necessary providers Lead implementation and management of IT infrastructure (networks and computer systems, software etc.) in the organisation to ensure optimal performance Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantages Analyse cost, value and risks of IT to advise management and suggest actions in support of CEO and strategic agenda BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role in port industry Experience with and leading knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Background in designing/developing IT systems, planning and executing IT implementations, managing performance of same Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and port business operations Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities A strong strategic and business mindset Excellent organisational, leadership and performance management skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
