Job Description : SENIOR ACCOUNTANT OMAN Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, formats and controls. Collecting, interpreting, reviewing financial information & oversee the financial operations relating to the assigned functions, * Establish.and maintain- appropriate financial policies and procedures by continuous focus on improving existing processes. * Regular financial reports and insights to management including timely submission of MIS and compliance/exception reports. * Assist in other work as assigned by management and assist colleagues wherever Necessary. Mainiain books and records in compliance with Company policy, IFRS, local laws and reguiations, Investigate and correct discrepancies im reported stock quantities and locations. of all inventory * Manage all bank related matters including liaising with banks and financial intuitions, Ensure timely collections/payments, its accounting and periodic reconciliation of account balances with statements,confirmations. Ensure full adherence to S0Ps and policies while being insightful for continuous improvement to existing polices and procedures. Foster respect and team wonk within the department and motivate team members to deliver to their highest potential. Assist management in developing long term business plans and strategies that work to minimise financial risk, * Manage and comply with various regulatory reporting requirements including tax filings (including VAT), Undertake other duties a5 assigned including coordinating with other departments On-Cost reduction motives. * Ensure inventory records are accurate by ensuring periodic physical counts and himely reconciliations with books, * Minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant freld derectly related to the duties and responsibilities specified with at lagst 5 yaars in GOC market. knowledge. commercial and busimess awareness wih deep understanding of local laws and regulations including various taxes, labour laws, AML, ESR ate. * Effectrve & efficient management of departmental functions including timely & accurate repocting, meeting individual and team KPls, handling complaints and Qrievances, managing customer/supplier expectations and provide timely business. insights to management for decision making * Direct, coordinate and rewew the work plan for assigned staff, assign work activities, monitor work flow, review and evaluate daily work, method and procedures and meet with staff to eee problems * Overeee regular financial analysis, KP! performance reports of Company/Departments and relevant score even including team appraisals. = toonee cash flow forecasts/hudgets/forecasts/variance reporting processes timely in consultation with CFO and various departments, * Supervising, reviewing and approving work of accounts department including timely and efficient conclusion of all reporting requirements, external audits, mtemal audits and reveews. * Devise various compliance and exception reports and provide timely input and insights to management for efficient decision-making including cash management, efficiencies and potential areas for improvement, * Ensure real time accounting for the day to day financial operahoms within the Company such as payable, recemvables, HR and other transactions by coordinating timely information flow between departments * Ensure stock transactions are timely recorded including preparation of requined documentation including receiptjissue of stock, accounting for returns. investigation and actioning on discrepancies with LPO/Invoices/Delivery Note and ensuring it iS reconciled internally and externally wath supplli foMmers on a timely basis, * Monitor daily stock transactions, calculate the landed cost, update general ledgers, gather and analyze data, perform audits and assessments, and produce regular inventory reports. Qualifications * Professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA). * Thorough knowledge in accounting standards and concepts. * Proficient in ERP system specifically Oracle/SAP- * Advanced skills in MS Office including excel * 15+ years experience with at least 5 in GCC market. Must be aware of local laws, practises and regulations in the business, admin and commercial domains
