Job Description : FINANCE AND CONTROL MANAGER HOLLAND As Manager Finance & Control you report directly to the CFO and you are part of the leadership team of Plato Group. In this role you are a proactive sparring partner for the business and responsible for managing the European Finance & Control teams. The Finance & Control team consists of 19 employees (& growing); Financial Controllers, Business Controllers, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. As Manager Finance & Control you ensure that the Finance & Control department exceeds the needs of the business in terms of customer focus and cost driven. This includes the following topics: Strategy: Further develop, optimize and implement the Financial & Control Strategy and (innovative) roadmap, which is in line with the overall Plato Group and business strategy. Striving for a future-proof, progressive and proactive Finance & Control team, where you initiate creative solutions for complex business challenges. Continuously monitor results and adjust strategies and activities to ensure the team achieves their goals. Project Management: Every day you manage continuous improvement, financial and process-oriented innovations based on data & analyses. Ongoing and future projects are related to the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and the design of a European tax control framework. Finance & control: You are responsible for the monthly and annual closing and reporting process, you ensure accurate cash flow management, annual financial audits in close collaboration with our external audit partner, tax compliance, risk management, the annual budget cycle and periodic forecasts. Team development: You are a born leader. You inspire, manage and lead your team, you strive for a very proactive and high performing environment that ultimately enables the team to achieve its objectives. You ensure coordination within the European teams by structuring, managing, clarifying goals, and simplifying processes. You support the team with crucial decisions. You align the company's financial resources with the short- and long-term goals of the organization, creating a strong culture to attract the right professionals to the team. Collaboration: This role requires a high degree of collaboration with diverse teams (IT, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and BI across Europe). Not only do you work together with this, but you also ensure good and proactive communication between the Finance & Control team and the various teams/stakeholders. In this way, important information is always shared between both parties in a timely manner. The Finance & Control Manager characterizes himself as an inspiring leader with an energetic personality with excellent communication skills. You are the one who ensures innovation and success and also brings good knowledge, expertise and leadership in the field of financial management, reporting and analysis. You are a natural leader who can effortlessly recruit, develop and manage agile teams in an international environment. This is your background: - Bachelor and/or Master degree. - A minimum of 15 years of relevant international experience, including a financial leadership position. - Excellent accounting/accounting experience in an international environment. - You have experience in and fit in with a small or medium-sized company with an open, direct, no-nonsense, informal, entrepreneurial and professional culture. - Good project management skills. Some experience or certification in Prince 2, Agile, Lean etc. is an advantage. - Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex matters in an easy and understandable way. - A hands-on, team player who can handle a lot of freedom and gives the team the space to create innovative frameworks so that results are achieved. - Prefer you speak Dutch and English fluently.
