Job Description : SALES HEAD MALAYSIA FOR AUTO An exciting Malaysia-based Head of Sales job opportunity has just been made available at one of the major automotive players in the Asia-Pacific region with a presence in Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan. The Head of Sales is responsible for the profit and loss of the branch’s sales and will uphold the company policy in all aspects of the business. You will manage the sales department/branch to ensure that planned sales targets are achieved. Implement sales and marketing programmes set by the management to achieve desired sales objectives and goals Propose and implement branch/sales activities or programmes to attract customers into the showroom Oversee and guide sales executives/supervisors in implementing sales and marketing programmes set by the management to achieve desired objective and goals Adhere strictly and implement accordingly the company’s accounting policies pertaining to discount structure, claims, cash transactions, etc. Liaise with the Manager – Finance on all finance related issues Maintain good rapport with fleet owners, government department personnel and head office staff Ensure proper delegation of duties and responsibilities to the subordinates Identify and initiate staff training and development programmes to raise the quality and productivity of the sales staff Ensure the company objectives and policies are adhered and achieved Update the manager on the performance and progress of the branch Ensure other trading incomes especially finance commissions and insurance commissions are obtained from vehicles sales so as to maximise vehicle profit Recruit sub dealers and supporters for incremental unit sales Maintain good after-sales service towards customers Develop and upgrade sales personnel’s product knowledge Negotiate with vehicle body builder contractors for better prices Conduct weekly meeting with the sales personnel and parts & service personnel, including occupational safety and health meetings every three months Prepare monthly OTD and supplementary orders when need arises, weekly report and monthly trading sheets Arrange for vehicle display at leading shopping complexes Participate in vehicle tenders Keep up with competitor activities and local market environment Manage the overall operations of the branch and undertake ad -hoc assignments from higher authority from time to time Be responsible for environment, safety and health to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, whilst complying with local legal requirements Execute any other tasks as instructed by the management Ensure compliance to the prevailing environment, safety and health policies and legal requirements, and sustainability initiatives Bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, professional degree Minimum of 15years of people management and sales experience in the automotive industry Able to communicate at all levels and able to speak the local dialects Proactive and results and targets-driven
