Maintenance Manager

Job Description : MAINTENANCE MANAGER UAE a leading Food and Beverage manufacturing company in their search for a Maintenance Manager. The role will be responsible for managing all kinds of maintenance activities including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, & break downs emergency cases as well as defining the maintenance & energy KPI’s and working with the team to achieve the targets. Responsible for the smooth operation of all equipment Management of the Maintenance team including the recruitment, retention and development of mechanics, engineers and workers. Reviewing, planning and replenishment of equipment, parts and tools as needed. Maintaining minimum stock levels as per operations requirements, ensuring maximum availability. Sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts for parts, equipment and services. Drive the maintenance team – ensuring all activities are planned and proactive to drive down costs and increase uptime on machines and site equipment Plan organize and run optimum day-to-day maintenance operations at the factories/manufacturing sites to maximise the running / uptime of the plant Maintain performance levels of equipment with the least possible downtime for production lines Minimum costs with least down-time for production lines Reduction on the reliance on external parties; reduction in maintenance costs Ensure utility cost per ton is per budget Responsible for ensuring maximum usage of resources with minimum time, risk, and expenses to the company Have direct responsibility for some aspects of SHE, and work on a day-to-day basis with those who ensure AAFB meets SHE commitments. Ensure that the team and the safety meetings are held regularly and that the overall safety performance of each division within the operation is assessed. Responsible for the infrastructure to meet environmental goals e.g. air emissions, etc. Review of work areas for Hazards; be a member of the risk assessment team and responsible for action plan review and/or implementation and feedback to management Manage to improve the quality and efficiency levels of the lines and decrease the cost considering the AAFB standards. Coordinate and act as a point of contact between the Maintenance, Engineering and HSE departments while developing Continuous Improvement (CI) activities as well as improving safety, quality, output and customer delivery performance Contribute to the planning and formulation of operations strategy to boost site performance of all departments Responsible for the implementation of processes, policies, procedures and initiatives across all departments and ensuring compliance to standards and regulations set by the company Monitor performance and continuous development of strategies and initiatives to reduce losses in a systematic way Monitor CAPEX spending and handle the execution of the capital budget projects Improve and maintain the hygiene and safety standards of the production plant Implement Overall Equipment Effectiveness – increasing performance by reducing downtime and unplanned stoppages Set clear targets and measures for each of the direct reports in the factory – use weekly and daily production meetings to monitor these KPI’s – giving live feedback on progress against targets. Degree or Diploma in Engineering Minimum 12 years’ experience in managing the maintenance department in a food/beverage manufacturing FMCG company, in which 5+ years at a Maintenance management level Previously dealt with PET, 5-gallon or glass would be a huge plus Experience with suppliers such as Krones, KHS, Sidel and/or water treatment would be a plus Experience in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques and OEE Good level of understanding and experience of commercial, business and financial management (KPIs and their drivers) PPM/TPM skills and execution is a must Knowledgeable of health & safety, engineering and maintenance processes Excellent leadership, people management and decision-making skills Excellent problem-solving skills and planning skills Leadership of Engineering Projects
