Job Description : DIRECTOR OF MANUACTURING ENGINEERING USA Candidate will report to the VP/GM while managing (8) salaried direct reports Complete department financial/budgetary ownership Candidate will be responsible for leading Engineering Managers (2), Maintenance Managers (2), Tool Room Manager, Manufacturing Manager (2), and a team of (4) Advanced Engineers Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals. Work closely with Vice President/General Manager to determine KPI's and deliverables Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues. Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent Provide key input into the development of the department's strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support the department business plan goals. Work cross functionally with other departments Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing. Degree in Engineering or Technical Field is necessary for consideration Candidate must possess strong "Shop Floor" Operational acumen (leading high performing teams to drivine KPI's and deliverables) Candidate should possess at least 18+ years of Engineering leadership experience within a high volume manufacturing environment Experience in Foundry environment, Steel, and/or Stamping is considered a plus. Automotive experience preferred.
