Job Description : GM CORPORATE FINANCE ADELAIDE AUSTRALIA General Manager, Corporate Finance to join our global Finance team. This role forms part of the Global Finance Leadership Team and Global Senior Leadership Team. The GM Corporate Finance plays a key role in controlling and enhancing the financial, accounting and taxation methods, practices and procedures of our fast-paced global organisation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for 7 direct reports and an overall hierarchy of 40 employees globally. You will coach, develop and lead a high-performing team, and ensure it has a high level of credibility and acceptance throughout the organisation. Support the CFO, CEO and ELT in successfully implementing a strong, clear vision and strategy for the company’s global business portfolio Ensure the company's annual financial statements are produced on time and in accordance with international accounting standards, to present to the Board Represent the Executive Committee and the company both internally and externally, especially in relation to all financial matters and links to business issues and strategy Make sure that the Company at all levels acts according to the external and internal rules, regulations and applicable laws in relation to financial matters Ensure that the company has effective resources to maximise financial performance. This will include a tax structure, interest cover and levels of debt and equity, which are appropriate for the company. Ensure that the Company has a Treasury function that fulfils the needs of an international company including cash, foreign currency and interest management. Identify and implement measures to optimize working capital Work with our offshore partner to drive efficiency in our accounts receivable and accounts payable processes Bring your continuous improvement mindset to a complex business area and be unafraid to leverage your experience to do things differently. Minimum 12 years accounting / financial management experience Qualifications in accounting or commerce, along with CPA or CA qualifications Proven track record as a finance leader in a large global business Good understanding of and demonstrated track record in capital management, financial systems and controls and financial reporting together with some treasury experience or cashflow and working capital management experience A high level of comfort in dealing with a Board/Owners Previous experience working in one of the Big Four will be highly regarded
