International Trading Manager

Job Description : INTERNATIONAL TRADING MANAGER ( EXPORTS) NEW ZEALAND As a result of ongoing and continued successes both within New Zealand and the pacitfic, this global leader within the food export world is recruiting a Trading Manager to join their international division based in Auckland. Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Trading Manager will play a key role in the regional export development and success whilst based in its Auckland HQ. The position will largely handle French speaking territories therefore competency in French is important for this role. Without French speaking ability, other areas of your skill set and experience should stand out and provide exceptional value. Develop. manage and strategise the progression of meat, dairy & seafood + other products into the markets of Tahiti & New Caledonia To ensure the development of potential business in meat, dairy, poultry, seafood, dry and other products with existing and new markets in the South Pacific regions as per company strategy and as agreed with the Managing Director Organise, propose and develop a new range of products for key strategic clients in the region Ensure exceptional quality of service is maintained and delivered to all customers Contribute and own budget processes and business strategy plans every year for your market split sister companies based in Tahiti & New Caledonia Maintain and develop strong working relationships with suppliers. To succeed in this role you must have the ability to implement effective business development plans and possess deep experience in the food export business. French speaking highly desirable Min 10 years experience within the food products business - mainly meat, dairy, seafood and dry International trade/export experience within the food sector Flexibility to travel overseas (optional Tahiti & N Caledonia) at least once a year Proven track record in new market development.
