Shift Engineer

Job Description : SHIFT ENGINEER NIGERIA ** Nigerian experience mandatory Roles and Responsibilities 1. Production and Maintenance · To handle day to day production of preforms & closures in shift. · Shift Engineer will be solely responsible to ensure that various quality checks are carried out and product quality of highest level is achieved on various products being produced in the plant. · To set the processing parameters on all the machine/moulds as per agreed production cycle times to achieve shift targets. · To be willing to work in day & night shift in any of manufacturing plant. · To be able to handle the plant ancillaries independently like diesel generator, air compressor, water pumps, etc. · To be able to change mould and core pin in husky machine. · To record shift production, scrap, raw material re-conciliation. · To be able to control local workforce of about 50, mainly of machine operator and production supervisor level as well monitor their attendance in shift. · To be able to maintain minimize the rejection a daily basis. · Advise management promptly regarding any labor related issues such as ill-discipline, yearly worker appraisal, etc. 2. Inventory · To manage issue of raw material required for daily production. · To maintain and reconcile statements for raw materials as well as other consumables that are required in the production process. · Maintaining warehouse records such as preparing reconciliation statements of raw material, diesel, spare parts and any other consumables. 3. Manpower · To ensure all manpower requirements such as operators, electricians, fitters & workers are available at all times and trained accordingly. · To develop and motivate staff to optimize the workforce. Delivers performance reviews and any feedback to the team as needed. Desired Candidate Profile · A graduate holding an Engineering Degree or Diploma. · The candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in the plastic industry, specifically in the injection molding process. · Should have basic computer knowledge on the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. · Willingness to work at a 12-hour shift and night shift · Knowledge on HUSKEY, SACMI machines preferably worked in manufacturing company having knowledge of PET preform injection process and moulds.
