Job Description : HEAD OF R & D THAILAND FOR SEA An exciting Head of R&D – Food & Nutrition (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the leading FMCG manufacturing company based in Bangkok, Thailand. Reporting directly to the Regional R&D Director, this is a role for an expert who has strong managerial and technical skill to drive technical innovation of food and nutrition business in SEA market. In this business critical role, you will lead team of R&D expert from specialist to manager level in SEA region, initiate new formulation, process, and drive technical innovation to deliver consumer relevant products, services, and solutions to the nutrition food retails business with key market leads in SEA. The salary package will be paid as a local package with provident fund and medical insurance. This job opportunity is open to all nationalities who are able to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, accept a local package and ready to onboard when required by the business. Lead and scale up portfolio of food and nutrition business in Asia with holistic view of end-to-end R&D process Understand business view and collaborative with cross functional teams to achieve business target, customer centric, meet global quality and food safety, regulatory and all business compliance, competitor challenges, relevant industry engagement and advocacies, etc. Continuously evaluate portfolio and leverage new technology to the category by the development of personnel expertise, encouraging the evaluation of new product ideas and technology from supplier expertise and outside sources Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Internal/External advocacy to drive value core’s consumer relevant messaging in product ranges to the public communication Coordinate and support work in global scale as a member of global R&D team Deploy and execute global technology, technical enablers and innovations of business unit in areas of responsibility Play a key role to prepare and provide recommendation on team budgets, expenditures, and forecasts to accomplish agreed team targets. Be a mentor and develop talents in team with growth mindset, and agile way of working style To succeed in the Head of R&D – Food & Nutrition, SEA job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with stakeholders, across borders and internal matrix. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science or technical related field Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managerial level of food R&D function Experienced working in regional or global work experience Passion of driving consumer centric and technology into product design Excellent interpersonal skill, influence people, leadership, passion for high performance Strategic thinking with execution capability, strong business acumens, and good leadership and able to influence team Growth mindset leadership Excellent English and Thai communication in business level
