Operations Manager

Job Description : Operations Manager (Manufacturing)- TANZANIA for cosmetics co, for Plastics Division Education: Bachelor's Degree (mechanical, plastics engineering or related technical field) KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIRED: • Minimum 10+ years Experience in blow molding/plastics injection molding environment. • 5+ years proven management experience within manufacturing environment, particularly supervisory level direct reports • Experience in inventory/ logistic management. • Responsible for direct labor planning, production planning and production plan execution to achieve maximum efficiency while producing quality products resulting in no rejects or rework. • Support the manufacturing supervisors on meeting production & material requirements. • Ensure scheduling and forecasting is completed to meet customer and revenue commitments. • Manage critical supplier relationships. Ensure product supply is timed to satisfy customer requirements by managing the procurement of materials and logistics at most competitive rates & on budget with optimal delivery targets and that quality performance meet expectations. • Responsible for the movement and storage of raw material; finished product; packaging and allied components. • Manage inventory in terms of inventory level, and lead time. • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating suppliers. • Ensure daily operation of plant in accordance with safety practices. • Manage and control the areas of production while working with quality, customer service, sales and safety departments and their representatives. • Coordinate facility activities associated with operating, repairing and maintaining equipment; • Assists in developing and implementing the annual manufacturing plan, including budgets, capital expenditures and human resource requirements. • Develops, maintains and distributes reports for processing control activities. Ex, efficiency, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, scrap, rejects, etc.
