Job Description : REGIONAL HEAD EAST INDIA FOR PROJECTS REGIONAL/ SBU/ PROFIT CENTRE HEAD - EAST INDIA(A Prestigious & Large Indian Civil Construction Contracting Co.) Opportunity/Role: A senior Regional-SBU level role in leading the business and managing overall operations of a large and growing region in Eastern India, with revenue of Rs1000 Crs Rs1200 Crs, and 25 to 30 high value and large civil construction projects in buildings and factories/ industrial, commercial, and institutional segments; while leading a team of senior level functionaries, in a completely decentralised, and professional management set-up, at a prominent and one of most reputed civil construction contracting companies in India, having a very long and successful history of creating construction marvels in the country. Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Civil) fulltime from a reputed institution, preferably along with a good MBA degree Experience: 25 to 30 years Age: Up-to 50 years Nature of Experience: 25 to 30 years of strong project management and business development experience in civil construction industry at large companies, with progressively growing general management responsibilities. Persons who have been in the roles of CEO/ COO/ SBU-Head/ Cluster Head of mid-to-large sized construction contracting companies having independently handled profit centre responsibilities of Rs1,000 Crs+ turnover construction contracting business for at least last 5 years, with 20 to 25 live large projects in buildings and factories/industrial projects; leading and guiding senior level team, and large workforce. Exposure to contemporary civil construction technologies is necessary. Other requirements: Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and people skills; good personality; and effective relations-building, customer relation skills.Key Job Responsibilities: · Strategic planning for enhancing growth in business and profitability of the region, and market share. · Business planning, and achieving short term and long term strategic goals and business objectives; and improvement agenda - preparation, implementation/ execution of plans to grow market share, business and profitability of the company in the region, and driving long-term agenda. · Overseeing, monitoring & control of projects implementation/ execution, and steering P&L responsibility for 25 to 30 large scale projects in high-rise buildings - residential and commercial, mixed use projects, IT parks, hospitals, hotels, industrial plants and factories etc., across different states in the eastern region. · Managing, overseeing, & controlling the functioning of regional office; overall large scale regional operations; and leading large team of senior level functionaries of Sr.GM/ GM level across various functions - both projects and non-projects based i.e. business development, planning; engineering; project execution; quality, health, safety and environment; contracts administration & arbitration; quantity survey, billing & commercial, procurement; finance, accounts, and IT etc. tendering & estimation; · Providing effective and exemplary leadership to senior level team; and ensuring people development. · Expansion - expanding business reach in newer territories/ customers/ types of business in line with the overall corporate strategy. · Customer relations - building goodwill and enhancing brand value of company. · Public relations - representing company on important forums, and enhancing the brand image of the company; and liaison with senior level government and non-government bodies.
