Regional Transportation Manager

Job Description : REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION MANAGER MALAYSIA A Regional Transportation Manager job has become available at an international retail company. In this role, you will be handling all matters related to transport operations for the Southeast Asia region and be the bridge between operation and commercial. You will be responsible for managing logistics staff across the region and the company’s 3PL providers. This role reports directly to the Head of Logistics Optimise and carry out all operations related to road, air and sea transport Manage the budget and KPIs, ensuring that agreed upon KPIs are met Communicate with stakeholders on the progress of initiatives and potential risks and prevention plans Manage contracts through initiation of RFP and participate in negotiations with all parties for the relevant market Resolve issues concerning shipment and transportation Manage and set development goal for team members To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience handling transportation at a regional level with the ability to look at the bigger picture. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field Minimum of 12 years of warehousing and logistics experience in a managerial role preferably within the retail industry Prior experience in leading a team, and cross-functional stakeholder management A business-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Excel, WMS, and ERP systems is advantageous Ability to work independently whilst still being a team player
