Sourcing Manager

Job Description : SOURCING MANAGER MALAYSIA A multinational company in the natural resources industry is recruiting for a Sourcing Manager - Drilling and Rotating Equipment job to be based at their regional hub to manage procurement of technical equipment for their various sites globally. In this position, you will manage the sourcing and procurement of technical drilling equipment and to be the subject matter expert within the organisation for the specified category of products. • Leading strategic sourcing activities for categories such as rotating equipment, well boring and MROs • Understanding and preparing contract briefs with requirements from users • Assisting in executing vendor performance management as well as monitoring contract expiration and identifying need for renewals • Evaluating and negotiating contracts in compliance with the company’s contract and reimbursement structures • Being the main personnel to generate complex contracts including interpreting requirements, contract administration, risk management, conflict resolution and delivery of products • Working directly with the Legal and Finance functions to facilitate the company’s objectives and resolve user issues, provide user satisfaction and act as the first point of contact for suppliers to reach out to • Over 15 years' working experience in sourcing rotating equipment and drilling categories and 20 years working experience in overall procurement • Proven track record of sourcing strategy development and contract negotiations • Experience in ERP systems is an added advantage • Possess excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a team player • Highly motivated and ambitious to develop value generation
