Manufacturing Head

Job Description : PLASTIC MANUFACTURING HEAD INDIA one of the leading rigid plastics packaging companies in India. With over a dozen manufacturing plants across the country, their multi-location manufacturing sites gives them a strong competitive edge. They have state of art plastic molding machines across technologies, thus making them the preferred business partners for end-to-end project management. They cater to all the top customers in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, electronics, paints and lubricants industries. They are looking to hire a head of manufacturing who will later be groomed to become the COO of the company. Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for: · Liaising with factory heads and the senior leadership of the company to achieve manufacturing targets. · Directly setting and achieving key goals for all the manufacturing plants like: · Preparing, approving, and controlling of annual plant budgets. · Driving production, planning, maintenance, and quality assurance activities · Warehousing & finished goods inventory control, shipping and logistics. · Managing and working closely with the plant heads of the various clusters across the country. · Adhering to labour & pollution control laws, fire and explosives, safety, electrical installations, etc. · Integrating latest manufacturing technology and best practices from within the company and from other sources leading to optimizing manufacturing cost. · Working on feedback from customers on quality of products and initiating necessary measures for further improvement at manufacturing locations. · Interacting with all external parties to the plant such as local government agencies, legal agencies, local media, and interest groups · Recruiting, on boarding, professional development, performance management, and retention of team members Ideally you are an engineer with at least 20 years of work experience and 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in heading multiple plants/units/sites across various geographies in India.You are currently working in a plastics/auto/engineering/packaging company handling a turnover of more than 500 crores. You have production experience in early part of the career at shop floor, mold making, assembly operations & machine shop. Exposure to modern management techniques - lead & implemented one or more projects in areas of TQM/ 5S/ 6 Sigma/ Lean/ Policy Deployment. You have experience in all the plastic molding processes and techniques like injection molding, extrusion molding, injection blow molding etc. · Succession planning to become the COO. · Immense learning opportunities.
