Job Description : OPERATION MANAGER – Hypermarket / Supermarket OMAN Experience : 10+years experience as Operation Manager position managing multiple super / hyper markets EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail or related field may be preferred. Strong organizational and decision making skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Proven leadership experience ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Sales and Commercial Performance, Preparation of sales budgets Maximize sales and profitability of the brand Maximize productivity targets (sales per sqft, ATV, Conversion etc) Control costs within budgetary guidelines, Identify internal and external commercial opportunities Ensure effective Stock and Space Management Conduct SWOT review to analyze the customer profile Provide monthly feedback on competitor and event activities Ensure effective Inventory and Warehouse management in the territory (order management, stock consolidation, movement and transfer, optimum stock utilization, stock return and shrinkage) Review and analyze stock and sales reports monitoring over and under stocks, implementing corrective action to be taken Review and effectively deal with fast/ slow lines, new ranges and end of ranges and implement necessary action Provision of monthly feedback to Concept on sales, stock positions and product feedback Research and look for good property and locations Prepare Territory operating plan (new store, seasonal and store) and ensure effective implementation Ensure the store is in compliance with the store operating and customer service standards, the store portrays the company image etc. Ensure the store is in compliance with the company policy, health and safety standards Ensure store sales, promotions are planned effectively and executed and promptly. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing and listening Strong time management abilities, including planning and prioritizing workloads Effective strategic planning, both for the short-term and long-term Thorough understanding of merchandising trends and industry best practices In-depth knowledge of industry-specific trends and issues Exceptional ability to analyze data and draw relevant conclusions Creative and innovative thinking A proven track record of achieving excellent results with merchandising strategies and promotional activity
