25 yearsJob Description : PROJECT MANAGER UTILITIES & OFFSITE · Engineering Head with accountability and responsibility of engineering design execution performed by the EPC Contractor for Utilities, Offsites and Inlets scope of the plant to ensure the delivery of a quality design in support of project execution activities, milestones and within approved funding. · Leads and coordinates key engineering activities amongst the EPC discipline engineers to execute detailed design engineering deliverables per the plan, to support procurement, construction and pre-comm/comm planning and field execution activities. Drives the performance of the Contractor do deliver per plans and adjusts as required based on engineering KPIs. · Provides leadership and coordination with all other groups to ensure engineering deliverables and plans are integrated to support procurement, construction and commissioning/start-up activities. · Bachelors Degree in Engineering 25+ Years for Project Manager. · Oil & Gas industry experience, with a strong background in detailed engineering management of Major Oil & Gas Projects, preferably experience on a major Oil & Gas, Petrochemical projects. · Experience with engineering leadership, leading multi-discipline activities and well versed in design safety aspects of engineering · Experience with large utilities system design (steam, bfw, cooling towers, desalination, fuel gas, nitrogen, air, flare) · Experience working with major EPC Contractors in a Lump Sum environment (LSTK) · Experience managing field engineering · Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and communicate at all organizational levels · Demonstrate ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds · Commissioning and Start-up experience highly desirable TECHNICAL AND BUSINESS · Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills. · Strong technical, prioritisation and management skills. · Good communication, influencing and interface skills. KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES · Leads and manages key multi-discipline activities within the engineering team to direct the EPC contractor in the execution of engineering deliverables to meet milestones and stay within budget. · Ensures design safety aspects are incorporated into the design. Leads effort to develop engineering execution plans to support procurement, construction and commissioning to ensure plans are clearly understood by the CONTRACTOR and jointly working as a team to drive to key milestones to support execution sequence. · Supports stewardship of engineering surveillance and technology management plans to ensure design is fit for purpose, safe, reliable and operable. Ensures key areas for SME support to ensure design meets the project objectives. Executes the technology management plan and ensures appropriate stewardship to deliver new technologies that will meet project objectives and smooth transition. · Leads field engineering activities for Utilities, Offsites and Inlets. Works closely with EPC Contractor and all other stakeholders to support fit for purpose solutions to field engineering issues. Supports management of field design change and technical query processes. · Communicates engineering performance through monthly engineering surveillance reports with the appropriate metrics and KPIs. · Provides leadership to drive decisions for multi-discipline issues to progress the execution of the project. Drive alignment and decision making between stakeholder groups. · Fills in for the Engineering Manager as required. · Understand interdisciplinary dependencies to be able to make judgements on overall technical decisions having multi-discipline impacts. Applies risk management techniques to facilitate decision making. Communicates key technical issues and risks to management to facilitate decision making. · Clear understanding of change management process and leads team to document and justify and manage risks associated with design change.
