Job Description : MANUFACTURING HEAD SENEGAL 1. To lead the Production, Quality, Technical Engg., Projects, Health Safety Environment and Fire processes for the Acid & Captive Power Plant in Senegal 2. To improve production capacity and optimize cost while ensuring high quality product and process standards while adhering to statutory compliances Responsibilities 1. Develop annual production plan, maintenance to achieve the business target (daily, quarterly & annual) and to increase the production volume while minimizing costs and maintaining high quality 2. Formulate and Implement strategies for improving the Acid plant, identify improvement areas and projects that can be taken up to improve production volume, process efficiency or cost optimization 3. Create Acid & Captive Power Plant budget by consolidating inputs from various departments (Maintenance, Production, CPP etc.), track budget utilisation and ensure adherence to the approved budget 4. Review daily, weekly, monthly production MIS reports to match actual performance vis--vis the targets and provide action steps to minimize variance 5. Develop systems & processes to track and analyse plant metrics/data including machine utilization, operational cost, machinery availability and consumption data (spares and consumables) to identify any issues and draw up an improvement plan 6. Oversee and provide support for the development of detailed and robust project plans for resources & material requirements, project cost, timelines and responsibilities at the Acid & CPP plant site 7. Review consumables & spare procurement plan in coordination with the purchase department, ensuring availability of quality spare parts at all time and minimize spare part costs. Identify new vendors and conduct technical evaluations, if required 8. Lead the development and update of storage processes to ensure effective & safe storage of raw-material, acid & equipment at the site 9. Liaise with the commercial team to conduct technical evaluation of vendors / contractors to be used for mining & beneficiation operations 10. Guide HSEF Head in development of safety protocols, etc. to ensure that the plant operates without any safety incident 11. Ensure compliances with all the regulatory laws applicable to the chemical industry, liaise with the regulatory bodies, and government agencies to understand any changes to the law and modify plant processes accordingly 12. Plan for and oversee the plant shutdown processes, ensuring availability of all resources (consumables, spares, manpower etc.) for efficient and timely maintenance operations 13. Coordinate with the respective authorities to obtain or renew all applicable licenses as and when required 14. Address unions issues or grievances and take part in administering collective bargaining agreements to create a healthy work environment 15. Represent the Company before governmental authorities / bodies, coordinate with local NGOs for any issues and be a part of the team representing the company before media to build a better brand image for the company in the country 16. Ensure that the team complies with safety, environment, statutory regulations and meet the required target 17. Ensure skill and knowledge enhancement of the team and actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching of subordinates Required Candidate profile · Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mech./Chemical) · Master`s Degree in Engineering preferred · 18 to 20 years of relevant experience in Chemical Manufacturing/Chemical projects with at least 10 years in a leadership role
