15 yearsJob Description : GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER MALAYSIA An exciting Global Supply Chain Manager job has just become available at one of the most respected manufacturing and production firms based in Penang. This company is a US-based semiconductor manufacturing leader in the microphone and audio processing industries. Reporting directly to the Global Supply Chain Director, this is a role for Supply Chain Manager who is strong in both demand planning and program management. Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Global Supply Chain Manager will support the key customers from China in term of the global demand planning. Collaborate closely with Sales and PLM to develop an effective forecast model and demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns, carefully balancing business needs and factory capacity Collaborate closely with Global Supply Planning Managers to formulate optimal supply plan and identify improvement opportunities to close gaps Monitor and manage fluctuation of customer demand/forecast Develop effective processes and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans Lead risk assessments and mitigation activities with cross-functional teams Analyse and troubleshoot demand-related issues in a timely and accurate manner Monitor and report on critical changes in sales forecasts and business strategies Provide input to supply planning/factory SCM in developing inventory strategies on existing models, new products, and product phase-outs Schedule forecast review meetings with sales, PLM, global supply planning and factory SCM on a regular basis Provide strategy recommendations for pre-build requirements Create new reporting and analytic opportunities by analysing and understanding key planning processes. Work with relevant functions to develop analytical tools to drive process and reporting efficiencies Develop routine and ad hoc demand-related reports as needed To succeed in this Global Supply Chain Manager role, candidate is required to have strong experience in global planning skill and customer program management. Business acumen skill - Having an intuitive understanding of how companies make money and a realisation that a compelling vision can be effectively translated into an actionable strategy Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent collaborative, interpersonal and influencing skills with a strong ability to influence key stakeholders at senior management level Need to highly participate and liaise with cross-functional team across all levels of the organisation Good sense of urgency with a strong ability to set priorities Ethical Business Practices - Accountability, Honesty, and Integrity Self-motivated; able to take the initiative and work with minimum supervision and direction Strong logical thinking and analytical skills Fast learner under pressure Good in Application of the entire suite of Microsoft Office apps, particularly Excel. Knowledge in Macro is an added advantage Good leadership skills with a strong ability to guide subordinate(s) and cross functional team
