Export Sales Head

Job Description : HEAD OF EXPORT SALES: EAST AFRICA: URGENT POSITION One of the largest trading & manufacturing Groups in Ethiopia is looking for an export sales manager to run and manage the expansion of its FMCG products in East Africa. This is a commercial management position with very strong sales abilities. Primary tasks Reporting to the CEO of the group and working closely with the sales and marketing manager of the group, the successful candidate will be expected to set up and manage key distributors in a number of different East African countries and appoint and establish Group representative offices headed up by an area Manager and staffed with proven sales teams. This is a challenging role which will require substantial travel to direct and manage the area managers and interface with the appointed distributors. This is a senior management role initially based in Addis Ababa. The first task will be to undertake a detailed market assessment and create a marketing strategy document for building the export division. This will enable detailed competitive mapping information and target market size in order to measure performance and establish sales incentive schemes. Experience required This role requires at least 15 years proven field experience in fmcg markets in Africa preferably East Africa. This experience should encompass management of up to 50 sales staff located in multiple countries. Requires proven experience in report writing with advanced computer presentation skills. proven experience in media and communications programmes and digital marketing fluency in English both written and spoken. Knowledge of some of the main East African languages would be an added advantage ability to engage with government departments, trading companies and NGO’s representing the group at the highest level. Qualifications A sales and marketing degree or technical qualification from a recognized international university or institution. MBA from TOP INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE. Salary Range : SAVINGS ( USD $ 5,000 - 8,000) PM + OTHER EXPAT BENEFITS EARLIEST JOINEE.
