Job Description : DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE FRANCE a French listed group, a major player in its segment, is looking for a Director of Financial Performance & Management Control (F/M). The objective of the function will be to improve the quantification and monitoring of the financial and commercial performance of the company on all the P&L indicators. Reporting directly to CFO France, the director of financial performance & management control will supervise a team of 20 management controllers, including 5 direct managers. Position based in the west of Paris. Our client is a renowned listed group operating on an international scope and generating several billion euros in turnover worldwide. The company operates in the retail sector and is a major player in its segment. As director of financial performance & management control (F/M), you will have to play a key role in monitoring the profitability of the company with regard to the expectations of the group. You will be a source of proposals for the executive management in its recommendations and will act as a driving force in the transformation of management control towards the management of financial performance. Your main responsibilities will be: steer and lead financial processes: monthly closings and reporting, re-estimates, budgets, strategic plans. manage a team of 20 people working on different information systems. monitor and optimize financial performance and offer decision support tools. define and implement appropriate KPIs and dashboards. make reliable, improve and standardize processes, deliverables and tools within the scope of France & Luxembourg. participate in strategic development projects. supervise a team of 20 management controllers. With a higher education in finance, you have a minimum of 18 years of professional experience. You have proven experience as a manager in management control and have necessarily been confronted with finance transformation in the business sense. A passage in Transaction services is a real plus, as is knowledge of retail and a multi-site environment. You must have previously managed teams in a demanding environment. In order to succeed in this strategic and exposed function, you will have to demonstrate a high level of leadership and adopt a strong charismatic posture towards operational staff and teams. Able to hold his points of view, you have the ability to position yourself outside of the operational and are force of proposal in terms of process improvement.
