Job Description : COO/CFO KSA a start-up business in Saudi Arabia. This newly formed entity is a JV with a Saudi partner and another business listed on the London Stock Exchange. Salary: Excellent salary available + schooling + good bonus potentia We are looking for a strong commercial and financial focused senior leader, who can support the CEO in building and developing a high growth business, which has already been functioning with great success out of the Dubai office. Due to continued growth, the Saudi entity has been created. Be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting to shareholders and the Board, governance, compliance, and treasury management. Manage all back-office operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission. Acting as the right-hand person to the CEO, responsible for the efficiency of business and building both a high performing and positive work culture. The CFO/COO position oversees the design, operation and improvement of processes and systems that deliver the company’s products and services. Directly responsible for Finance, the role also oversees HR, IT, office, facilities and the legal functions with additional oversight in the business development, customer service and procurement areas of the business, therefore taking on COO responsibilities as well. The person will be instrumental in driving ambitious goals, optimizing the business structure, making sure targets are achieved, and bring the rest of the team into alignment to deliver the strong growth plans. Overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission Deliver timely, high quality management information to inform the decision-making of the Company’s leaders and the Board of Directors. This will include monthly management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other ad-hoc reporting. Recruit and mentor the finance team, comprising of Finance Manager, FP&A and operational accounting staff. Work with the CEO on business strategy creation and delivery, including fostering and cultivating key stakeholder relationships. Participate in strategic planning and analysis and any projects as assigned. Manage financial reporting processes including month-end, half year and year-end. Treasury management, including cashflow reporting and working capital management. Develop standardised reporting outputs and finance processes for the Company. Work closely with the Board of Directors, its Shareholders the UK HQ to optimise business services such as Treasury, Tax management, O2C, P2P and R2R. Establish, maintain, and monitor corporate governance and internal controls. Ensure compliance with legislative, and relevant customary, requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Qualified Accountant (ICAEW preferred) Big 4 trained Proven experience (8+ years) as CFO or FD, including experience managing other business ops functions, total work experience around 20-25 years Experience in a start-up environment and/or scaling a new business is desirable Experience at senior level, in a large listed plc essential Bachelor’s degree, or international equivalent, preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or other quantitative subject Masters degree or MBA desirable Excellent quantitative, analytical and presentation skills Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills Able to interrogate data, demonstrating good commercial acumen to arrive at clear conclusions Good attention to detail and accuracy.
