Job Description : VP OPERATIONS CANADA Oversee day-to-day company operations (supply chain, warehousing and logistics.. Manage relationships with multiple co-packers in multiple countries. Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs along the entire supply chain infrastructure. Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities. Monitor performance of staff and business operations to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions. Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations. Coordinate support to operations throughout the business. Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations team. Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team. This is a senior management position and may require some travel domestically and internationally. As a company we have put in place the infrastructure and systems to allow our staff to work remotely. However, in person attendance will be required from time to time to participate or lead team meetings and attend senior management meetings. As an organization we embrace the concept that measurements must be put in place to monitor all aspects of our business and to ensure we are driving business performance and holding team members accountable for performance. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering or business or related field with relevant experience. 15-18 years supervisory experience in operations. Management experience Previous P&L responsibility preferred Experience managing outsourced manufacturing, warehousing and logistics services. Ability to manage multiple product lines and a variety of different products. Demonstrated project and budget management skills. Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles. Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail. Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
