Group Finance Controller

Job Description : GROUP FC NEW ZEALAND Oversight of the monthly consolidation of the Infratil Group, including review of the month end journals, reconciliations and trial balances for the Infratil Group holding companies Prepare monthly business performance reporting to the Infratil Board Build effective working relationships with key finance contacts across each of Infratil’s portfolio companies Lead the Infratil Finance team in the preparation of external reporting for the Infratil Group, including half year and annual financial statements Present the Consolidated Group Financial Statements, including an assessment of key accounting issues, estimates, judgements and the application of NZ IFRS, to the Finance Director and CFO Research of technical accounting considerations for consolidation and reporting requirements, including implementation and application of NZ IFRS Ongoing review of financial and management accounting procedures including ensuring that effective internal controls are in place and maintained Qualified Chartered accountant (CAANZ or equivalent professional body) with at least 15 years’ experience post qualification A high level of technical knowledge in respect of accounting and consolidation principles, the application of NZ IFRS and the Infratil Group accounting policies Advanced financial modelling skills including the efficient and uniform use of Excel for Group reporting and analysis A strong understanding of the underlying businesses in the Infratil Portfolio and the sectors these businesses operate in Ability to display excellent interpersonal skills with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders Ability to train and mentor junior staff members and offer clear communication to the wider Finance team
