General Manager

Job Description : GM EUROPE Role and Responsibilities · Define short, medium, and long-term business strategies for all product lines and brands within the company portfolio, in accordance with Group policies; · Manage the local sales organization, Operation and Quality in order to identify potential improvements; · Be responsible for the commercial budget of the company, ensuring the achievement of profit and organizing the structure to reach levels of efficiency that allows also cost savings; · Be informed about the market developments and identifies potential threats and growth opportunities, suggesting and validating changes and / or new product solutions and implementing; · Best practices in the business field to foster the company's global growth; · Identify improvements areas focusing on the sales strategy but also supervising other functions; · Contribute to define and implement the Group strategic business plan; · Align and achieve optimum Production Capacity of the unit; · Optimize Raw Material procurement; · Responsible for Statutory, Legal and Administrative compliance of the unit; · In-charge of health and safety of the workers and the plant; · Cost Control and management; · Review and Report to the management on the performance on a periodical basis; · Highlight the management on all critical deviations / developments. Qualifications/Requirements · At least 5- 10 years of experience gained in general management roles with strong commercial background, preferably within international industrial manufacturing environment. The knowledge of the flexible packaging industry will be considered a plus; · Management by objectives and goal orientation; · Strong knowledge of commercial and economic rules, ability to manage people and to develop established plans, determination, attitude to work by objectives; · Business Vision, market analysis, business development and knowledge of the products and of the competitive advantages; Education & other criteria · B.S. degree required or comparable qualifications acquired during professional life, particularly in the B2B field. MBA or advanced degree is desirable. · Chemical Engineer preferred. Other Skills/ Abilities · Authority, equilibrium and solid problem solving skills; · Time and priority management; · Excellent communication skills; · Fluency in English, Italian / French.
