Job Description : TRADE MARKETING MANAGER NIGERIA FOR FMCG - The Trade Marketing Manager (TMM) is responsible in the implementation of all Merchandising Activities and Activation in all Trade Channels across Nigeria align with the Brand Strategy. - Responsible in creating effective PSF Sales Presenter. Other functions are Customer Profiling and gathering Market Intelligence Reports. Organization : One of the largest FMCG clients in Africa Base : Lagos, Travel within Nigeria Reporting line : Head of Sales Direct reports : Trade Marketing Supervisor (TMS) and Trade Marketing Assistant (TMA) Key Roles/Responsibilities : Merchandising Function : - Propose merchandising improvements that can help improve product displays or brand awareness of the company's product in all Trade Channels. - Validates the allocation, deployment and inventory of POSM and other marketing collaterals from the depot - Reviews the report of TMS regarding implementation of each merchandising improvements per channel. - Evaluates the budget spending on POSM allocation by each area or channel. - Deployment, Training, and Assessment of Merchandisers. Channel Activation : - Prepares or approves the proposed activation by the Trade Marketing Supervisor or Regional Sales Managers that can help improve the sell - out of the customers in Modern Trade and General Trade Channel. - Analyze the implementation of each Channel Activation and provide recommendation should there be any deviation from the plan. - Analyze the post evaluation report prepared by the TMS for the channel activation. - Evaluates the budget spending for each channel activation per account. Customer Profiling and Market Intelligence : - Prescribe which channel or area to conduct the profiling of customers. - Direct the Trade Marketing Supervisor in the conduct of market intelligence to mine insights and data in the area of assignment; - Documentation of current Merchandising Display - Market Sizing/ Business Info per Category - Pricing Report Documentation - Competitive Intelligence Report Skills/ Qualifications : - Master's Degree with 8+ years of experience - Minimum five (5) years experiences in the FMCG Trade Marketing Management with background in the Sales Operation. - Creative, artistic, and knowledgeable on various MS Office application software - Proficient in English language, both in oral and written - Considerable knowledge in Basic Finance (cost analysis and promo spend analysis) - Good level of decision making skills - Possesses keen awareness and sensitivity of market changes - Must demonstrate Core Behaviors
