Operations Manager

Job Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER VIETNAM The Operation Manager are responsible for the operational functions in Vietnam – vessel husbanding, stowage coordination and planning, and general operations such as arranging for clearance and delivery of ship spares, ensuring timely bunker replenishment, coordinating and finalising vessel’s schedule with the terminal. Oversee and manage all operation activities at terminal and ICDs, co-ordinate with all departments in the company to ensure effective handling of issues at the terminal Plan and organise resources to meet Principal’s and Masters’ requirements pertaining vessel and terminal operations Ensure immigration and port authority’s rules and requirements are adhered to Monitoring performances of vendors including terminal operators Rate and contract negotiations on behalf of the Principal, where required Coordinating with MSC vessel sharing partners Co-ordinating On-hire / Off-hire To ensure smooth function of the operations department Co-ordinate with P&I surveyors for ship matters as and when required To ensure that Principal can receive all operation reports timely Handle any other operational matters requested by oversea agents or Principal Assist to implement all IT system requirements (in-house and port/ terminal) Monitor empty barge for Cambodia Monitor all contracts with terminal vendors in Vietnam, making sure that operational costs adhere to the procurement policy Input routing for HCM + Danang+ Qui Nhon Verify and validate all operation - related invoices of all Vietnam Oversee operations at terminal and liaise with terminal operations and external contractors regarding Minimum Diploma/ Degree of any discipline, preferably in Maritime Studies / Shipping / Logistics & Supply Chain Min eight to 10 years of direct relevant or similar operational experience from a shipping line container agency At least five years of experience in a managerial position leading others In-depth knowledge of operations works of barges, ICDs, terminal, etc
