10 yearsJob Description : FINANCE MANAGER UK Work location: Rochester, Kent. United Kingdom Job Purpose: The role of the Finance Manager at Veetee is to provide financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met across the UK, India, and North America Business functions. To work with the finance team and other internal stakeholders to enhance internal controls and provide accurate and timely financials to help the Company meet its strategic objectives Key Tasks/Responsibilities: · Lead monthly closing of books for revenue, expenses and all related matters · Direct finance team operations predominantly for UK and North America by motivating and leading the teams to ensure timely roll out of monthly MIS reports which include key metrics and variance reporting. · Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies · Ensure periodic meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss variances and ensure adherence to budgets / flag concerns to Senior Management · Partner with Head of Finance & IT to digitalize reporting formats and drive automation exercises · Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company. · Identify opportunities for performance and process improvement throughout the organization and recommend best practices. · Facilitate / assist Head of Finance in preparation of long term plans, budgeting and forecasting which are in line with the strategic goals and vision of the Company. · Interact with external auditors and tax practioners and ensure that the reporting activities are compliant with relevant internal policies, procedures etc. · Coordinate and supervise treasury activities including current bank accounts, and payments in accordance with approved procedures and comply with any procedural requirements by banks · Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations. · Ensure that accounting team is staffed adequately with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities of the function. Required skills: · Excellent MS office skills. · Self starter with demonstrable track record · Willingness to work and adapt in fast paced and changing environment · Leadership evidenced by high level of integrity and demonstrated ability to place customer first and deal with ambiguity · Readily voices opinions supported by facts and ability to positively manage conflicts · Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor finance talent · Good spoken and written communication skills in english Experience: · 8-10 years of progressive leadership roles in Finance Education: CA. Other Cost accountant certificates like CIMA etc preferrable. Knowledge & experience of the financial/tax laws applicable in UK and North America preferred but not mandatory. Reporting: to Head of Finance Visa and air fare tickets will be borne by the company only for the selected candidate. 1 month of accommodation will be provided to the selected candidate upon joining.
