15 yearsJob Description : Head of IT Service and Operation- APAC out of THAILAND at one of the most respected manufacturing and retail firms based in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the APAC IT Director, this is a role for a marketer who is a leader in their field. In this business critical role, you will Responsible for the operation, definition and execution of the APAC region’s IT strategy. Leading a motivated, fit for purpose and dedicated team to enable IT to be a cost-effective and trusted partner to the local and regional needs of the business functions. Working closely with group IT to ensure any group standards are adhered to. The salary range for this role is THB250k - 350k per month + fringe benefit • Oversight and supervision of IT operations for the APAC region • Development, coaching and leadership of the regional IT team, ensuring a cost-effective service • Definition and delivery of effective IT strategy for the region, including any group delivered strategic objectives, covering: o Line of Business Systems o IT Infrastructure o Service Delivery • Responsibility for the IT budgets of the local teams and enterprise agreements with suppliers. • Senior stakeholder engagement, primarily with the APAC Executive Team, but also with the local commercial teams where appropriate. • Creation of standard operating procedures, aligned with best practice – ensuring any appropriate controls are adhered to. • Ensuring the security and integrity of the regions IT systems, adhering to specific controls where appropriate. e.g, PCI, Data Protection. • Effective vendor management, ability to negotiate and bring the best fit of quality and price to the organisation. To succeed in the Head of IT Service and Operation- APAC job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with APAC IT Senior Leadership and other Leadership Teams throughout APAC, Group and other entities. Also co-ordinate with External vendors, suppliers and trusted partners to ensure best practice & most current thinking is leveraged. • Degree or equivalent qualification in the related field • Previous experience in a similar role - ideally within a retail organisation; OR Senior Mgt role looking to evolve into Head of IT • Experience of leading & developing a team • In depth technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and processes (IT and Business) • Best practice (ITIL) Service Management expertise • Keeping up to date with current trends and new developments in the IT landscape • Must be an excellent communicator at all levels, able to engage in detailed business discussions • Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor & active team member • Experience of dealing with senior & sometimes challenging individuals • Strong understanding of specific IT requirements across the APAC region, ensuring any local regulations are met • Ability to consult & work collaboratively across a variety of teams • A strong completer-finisher • Strong strategic thinking with good practical application ability • Ability to influence at a senior level • Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the senior leadership team & at all levels of the business • Ability to represent the IT regional function as part of the bigger business picture • Confident directing the IT team & advising the business on all aspects of IT • A professional & commercial approach to IT, with the ability to deliver a highly motivated and developed team to meet the needs of the busines
