20 yearsJob Description : Head- Regulatory Compliance Exp : 20+ Salary: Best in the Industry Job Location: Nigeria As a Head Regulatory and Government Affairs, you would be expected to actively engage with government stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure crisp and effective representation on regulatory and policy matters and ensure continuity of license and permits as well as a positive regulatory and policy environment for the organisation at large. You will be responsible for : · Handling Regulatory issues along with seamless co-ordination with projects & discussing with internal & external stake holders, legal counsels etc. · Building sustainable relationships with power regulatory bodies at state & centre, Govt. state DISCOMS, Ministry of Power & Coal and other statutory authorities. · Proactive inputs and information on state /central govt. policies and assess their impact on the organisations objective, identify schemes initiated by Central/State Government's providing facilities and incentives that benefit the organization. · Synthesize and present complex issues and complex government information, policies and legislation in area's impacting the company and translating this data into clear and meaningful messages to make effective business presentations; · External Communication with Regulators & Govt. bodies and taking initiatives to educate them on new regulatory developments happening worldwide. · Representing organization in various national & international forum as well as with key power associations. · Keeping a tab on how power sector and renewable energy transition is shaping up and align the inputs on existing matters of the organisation accordingly · Deep understanding of challenges like forest and environment clearances, CTE CTO, RoW for Tx corridors, long term/medium term PPAs, MoUs with Govt, Tariff policy, etc · Ensure Risk Mitigation plan & strategy in place and periodic review of the same About you: We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions, with the following: · Task-oriented professional with more than 8-10 years of experience in liaison with different Govt. bodies, Planning & implementation, and statutory clearances including Forest Clearance, ROW, Env. Clearance, Risk & Compliance for Transmission Line, Renewable Energy projects, Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation,. · Experience in liaising with District Administration, DFO, CF, CEO, SP, and State Govt. departments for timely completion of land acquisition proceedings under the Land Acquisition Act, 1984 & LARR Act 2013. · Effective communicator with exceptional negotiation skills, an eye for detail, a pragmatic and extraordinary team member and go getter. · Documentation & Office Administration. · Demonstrated high levels of integrity, sound judgement and an honest and ethical approach
