10 yearsJob Description : PRODUCTION HEAD CANADA The ANJAC Group is an independent, family-owned business, founded in France in 1991 which is now a major player in the distribution of industrial products. North America has been the recent focus of the ANJAC expansion with 3 acquisitions to date. First was California based COSMETIX WEST, joining ANJAC three years ago contributing with an outstanding reputation for innovative, natural cosmetics developed and manufactured in a stringent regulatory environment. Most recently, APOLLO joined the group, a large Canadian contract manufacturer of hygiene products meeting high standards and delivering success with major companies in America. It was followed more recently by PILLAR 5, well known for high quality in the manufacture of ophthalmic and sterile products. We are looking for a Head, Aseptic Filling for our Ottawa-based portfolio company. Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing Operations, this role will lead the manufacture of aseptic products. You will lead a team of Operators, Production Mechanics, Blenders and Material Handlers (70 employees) to build high quality products for our world class customer base. Responsibilities: Ensures the execution of short and long-term aseptic production plans, in accordance with KPIs Ensures the manufacture of quality products on schedule and according to all customer requirements Partners with Maintenance and OPEX to identify optimized maintenance practices of Aseptic/Sterile equipment and Predictive Maintenance Builds an engaged workforce where our employee base is committed to building great products Contributes to the CapEx planning process to ensure appropriate build-out of the new Aseptic suite Contributes to the site Master plans for the aspects related to Sterile/Aseptic facility Authors, reviews, and approves Standard Operating Procedures and other documents to ensure integration of cGMPs and improve process efficiencies Ensures that cGMP’s are used and followed during production of products so that all FDA and international regulations are met. Responds to monthly internal audit observations Coordinates investigations, including root cause analyses and corrective/preventative actions Promotes a continuous improvement environment by facilitating initiatives to improve Operational Excellence Supports the use of Six Sigma and LEAN Manufacturing programs to improve product quality, reduce product cycle times, and improve product yields Supports all new product launches to ensure product is available according to targeting timelines QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: University degree in Biology (Microbiology strongly preferred) A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment Minimum of 5 years management experience Experience in formulation, filling, packaging, and validation, technology Thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices Ability to relocate to Canada (the position is located in a National Capital Region) Depending on the experience. The company will pay for immigration fees and will manage immigration process. The company will pay for relocation to its location.
