Job Description : GRAIN AND ANIMAL NUTRITION PROCUREMENT HEAD KENYA Place of Posting: Nairobi, Kenya Tickets & Visa: As per EXPAT employment norms Exp: 12+ years of extensive experience in procuring Grains, Protein and Animal Health products. 1. Coordinate with stakeholders to collect the data on seasonal crops and market survey 2. Identify levels of demand, supply, market price trend and factorial impacts at the regional level. 3. Responsible for improving the company's competitive advantage by implementing strategic procurement plans. 4. Ensure the optimum level of inventory to facilitate the timely delivery of goods. 5. Produce reports and statistics for evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors and submit them to the reporting manager. 6. Conduct vendor evaluation to ascertain the best products in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality. 7. Coordinate with the accounts team, vendors and regional SCM to ensure ease of payment. 8. Encourage the participation of vendors through e-bidding. 9. Follow up with suppliers/traders, brokers, and MIS for report preparation by coordinating with the purchase incharge. 10. Guide and help SCM managers in procurement, stocking, and inventory maintenance and liaise with statutory departments for statistic information and smooth functioning. 11. Ensure continuous benchmark of industry practices in relevant fields and provide recommendations. 12. Champion and articulate innovations and improvements pertaining to systems and processes related to the respective domain. 13. Enable team members to perform better by providing timely feedback, conducting structured performance development reviews and setting clear KRAs and providing inputs for development. 14. Responsible for motivating and developing team members to effectively deliver their responsibilities.
