Global Finance Director

Job Description : GLOBAL FD a global boutique consultancy with 10 offices and an impressive history over the last 20+ years. This is a newly created financial leadership role which will report directly to the Global Managing Director and will work closely with the company’s senior leadership on business planning and financial matters. The role can broadly be split into two main responsibilities: Overseeing financial health/management of the business at a global level – there are experienced and competent teams in place who are running the business across all markets from the perspective of day to day financial planning and operational matters (e.g. invoicing, auditing, compliance etc). You would be involved with financial matteras across the globe from a supervisory perspective in terms of ensuring management leadership and scruitiny, answering questions from the team etc. Acting as an internal consultant to global management about the future of the business – this could include aspects like structure & processes, tools & technology, business opportunities, & investments etc. This part of the role would include working with global and local stakeholders to understand the business as well as analysing internal company data/information/trends to draw conclusions and helping to devising a company’s strategic direction For this role we are looking for someone who can work as an internal consultant with business leaders to help this business continue to be strategic and future focused in their approach. We are not looking for someone who has 20 years of experience working in a legacy company who is used to working in a very rigid way! -Relevant experience/track record in accouning or finance -Ability to work with senior leadership but also able to be hands-on where needed -Experience consulting with / providing advice and recommendations to business leaders -Strong analytical skills, ability to analyse financial information and link data to decisions -Experience in a relevant sector/working in a professional services business (e.g. management consultancy, advertising agency, market research business, or similar) -Ability to work in a dynamic entrepreneurial business -Experience managing others -Experience working in a global business with responsibilities across at least 3 markets (ESSENTIAL)
