Job Description : LOGISTICS MANAGER DUBAI An international Pharmaceutical company requires a Logistics Manager with 10+ years of experience in logistics with relevant experience in a leadership role managing logistics teams. Responsibilities And Key Activities Lead, direct and control logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness including materials volume planning and control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution. Oversee the overall logistics budget; optimize resources and prioritize spending. Identify cross-unit/cross-regional logistics partner network opportunities and risks. Research, negotiate, maintain and regularly evaluate (in cooperation with Sourcing) relationships and contracts with external suppliers so that the organization has a reliable supply of goods and services that meets its standards of quality, timeliness and cost. Coordinate and oversee the work of the team and contribute to the organization’s logistics strategy in an effective and consistent manner and according to established guidelines and budgets. Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements Partner and communicate with Suppliers and Customers. Lead and develop an exclusive team of logistics coordinators Create and manage budgets Liaise with JAFZA and Dubai Customs officials and ensure necessary approvals and documentation is attained for the organization. Qualifications for Logistics Manager Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering 10+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse operations JAFZA or UAE Free zone experience in preferred. Industry background is that you must be from a Pharmaceutical Company background. Must be based in Dubai Ideally want the person to have a background in International supply chain within MEA, CIS, APAC regions Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution management, business, and management principles Strong team player Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports Exceptional organizational and analytical skills Regional exposure across the Middle East & Africa region is required Experience with supplier and subcontractor negotiations, understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement, customs clearance, shipping, ocean freight, and import of goods and services
