This person will need to work very closely with HR and understand the value of HR as a partner—proven plant turnaround at a leadership level. Be the transformational leader who drives the implementation of a Value Stream-focused organization: set policy, expectations, and organizational structure. Oversee Plant Operations in alignment with strategy and metrics set by the SVP of OEQ to exceed customers’ expectations for product quality and on-time delivery. Planned, organized, directed, optimized, ran, and monitored day-to-day operations. Increase throughput, enable appropriate agility and flexibility, minimize unnecessary costs, and improve quality. Drive Continual Improvement for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Personnel Development. Monitor performance and disruptions. Close performance gaps, prioritize actions, and leverage improvements across the organization. Assure capacity, stability, capability, and sustainability for equipment, processes, systems, and personnel. Contribute to the development of capital, facilities, and operations budgeting plans. Effectively lead, manage, and develop a cross-functional Team. Supervise a staff of approximately five direct reports, including Production Managers, Maintenance Managers, Facilities Managers, and Quality Managers. Partner with Engineering, Technical Support, and central functions to optimize processes, manufacturability, and assemble ability of designs. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy, positive, transformational Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes based upon Throughput and Constraint Management Principles: a leader who is part of the day-to-day activity on the plant floor and leads by example, a leader who requires decision-making with credible data and not by emotion, a leader who challenges the strongest and weakest members of the team and surrounds themselves with talent, and above all, a leader who leads with respect. Responsibilities All items under Position Summary Drive a safety culture where no person is injured in or around the workplace. Develop systems and processes, in alignment with throughput and Constraint Management Principles, that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Planned, organized, directed, and ran optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations. Influence and learn from below, build accountable, engaged leadership and team members Increase production and assets capacity and justify flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining a zero defect to the consumer quality mindset. Develop technical and managerial competency in Team and direct reports. Allocate resources, effectively delegate, and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. Monitor operations and trigger, track and execute permanent corrective actions. Stay updated with the latest production management best practices and concepts – drive continuous improvement as a critical element of the operation’s “culture.” Proven work experience as a Plant Manager- Turn around Proven managerial experience. Must be able to uphold a standard of “discipline” to follow the rules, systems, and processes and assure accountability for actions and behavior within the Team. Adequate knowledge of Throughput and Constraint Management Principles Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources) Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes Computer literacy Ability to create accountability and to lead by example Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
