Job Description : PRODUCT ENGINEERING DIRECTOR VIETNAM Reporting to VP of Engineering, the Product Engineering Director is responsible for over-all operation of Product Engineering Department including Packing Engineering within the furniture manufacturing plants located around Ho Chi Minh City area. Responsible for over-all operation of Product Engineering Department including packing engineering Coordinates closely with RDD and production, thus making review of plans to make sure that the item is properly engineered in terms of material and processes, making sure that every part produced is safe and economical. Coordinates with clients / designers on the specifications of new sample items, assist development of new samples for market and shows Establish and formulate engineering standards such as construction, material cuttings, sizes and process procedures Implements continuous improvements with regards to engineering in terms of machining operations / process and assembly Serve as a bridge between engineering and other departments to formulate and apply design criteria and production requirements for proposed products Evaluate initial design or recommends modifications based on manufacturability, cost, and other factors Creates and develop tracking program and report production costs during design development Evaluates product design to determine its conformance with established company standard Preferably Engineering graduate Good knowledge in CAD software + 3D modelling Other CAD software + modelling techniques Five years of production floor experience at least Suitable to work office and shop works
