Job Description : VP ENGINEERING INDONESIA A VP of Engineering job has just become available in a leading and well-funded e-commerce company in Jakarta, Indonesia. About the VP of Engineering Role: Reporting to the CTO, you will play a critical role in leading both engineering and product teams. You will need to be a skillful “doer” who will be able to lead but also will be hands-on to solve problems with the team on a daily basis. Structure and scale out a high-performance team in a fast-paced and hyper-growth start-up environment Drive technology vision, road-map and performing budget management, resource planning Proactively manage and work stakeholders and peers on directions, priorities and challenges, using the data-driven approach and be able to promptly make decisions and adjustments as required Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems for development and improvements Implement innovative technologies especially within e-commerce industry To be successful in this VP of Engineering role, you must have hands-on experience with back-end and front-end development in a high scale of complexities environment. Coming from a similar senior level position at an engineering department in a start-up technology industry A self-motivated, pragmatic and hands-on problem solver with the high agility mindset Solid foundation on software engineering with proven experience on internetworking, storage systems (including SQL and NoSQL), software testing and cybersecurity Solid experience in cloud-based (GCP preferable) Linux systems, containerisation technologies, and devops practices Track record of leading the system designs/architecture and the entire SDLC of large-scale consumer-centric web or mobile applications
