Heavy Equipment Manager 
20 yearsJob Description : Heavy Equipment Manager (LNG / Oil & Gas / Cranes / Engineering / Safety / Trucks / Maintenance) – West Africa Western Africa an Oil & Gas company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Manager, who will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of heavy equipment and other machinery to ensure smooth business operations. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment’s are well maintained and operational at all times. Responsibilities: · Ensuring that all heavy equipment is in good working order and has been properly maintained. · Reducing repair turnaround time and maximizing availability of equipment. · Manage maintenance and repairs in and out of the workshop. · Maintaining health records of equipment and tracking for necessary proactive action. · Conducting timely inspections of equipment to ensure upkeep & meeting all safety standards. · Maintaining safety standards on the job site, including measures to prevent accidents and injuries. · Scheduling repairs or modifications to ensure proper functioning of equipment. · Training employees on proper operation and safe use of equipment. · Delegating work assignments based on an employee’s skills and experience level. · Interface with other departments in company to ensure required support for smooth operations. · Responsible for reporting, budgeting, audits, resource planning and implementation. · Create a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment, productivity and morale that maximizes productivity & retention of the personnel. · Conduct regular inspections and observation tours and establish within the work area to ensure employees work in accordance with safe practices, company procedures and safety regulations. · Coordinate with senior leadership on planned capital expenditures, provide input as required for the operation of the facility. · Ensure meeting regulatory requirements, any statutory requirements and other goals and objectives set by senior leadership that will be needed to operate effectively and efficiently. Requirements: Qualification and Skill · 20 years of maintenance experience preferably within Lifting industry / Heavy Equipment · Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering · Must have strong knowledge about heavy equipment/ machinery/ heavy cranes ( up to 400 MT), and heavy duty low bed trucks. · Knowledge and understanding of HSE concepts and management techniques, hazard identification and risk management, audits & compliance. · Physically fit, flexible (extended working hours may be required).
