Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD MALAYSIA One of the leading food manufacturing companies is recruiting for a Head of Operations job to be responsible for the general management of production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse, as well as lead the dynamic and continuous improvement of the organisation. In this job, you will report directly to the CEO. About the Head of Operations Role: The Head of Operations will cover a wide range of responsibilities leading the end-to-end operations of a manufacturing plant. In this position, you will be responsible for leading all daily operations management and coordination of plant operations including production, product quality, maintenance, and warehousing to achieve optimum manufacturing safety, output, quality and customer satisfaction. Manage and oversee production, maintenance, quality, packing, warehousing and distribution, health safety and environment of the plants Developing and managing the strategies, plans and produce as per the agreed plan with management to achieve the organisational and financial objectives of the company Setting and controlling budgets, targets and objectives (KPIs), and providing regular reports on progress in order to achieve the overall organisational and financial objectives Ensuring compliance with eternal regulatory agencies and organisations Effectively managing labor requirements, manpower planning, production planning, stock management, instrumentation calibration, plant improvement while developing innovative systems and processes Oversee the allocation of production personnel, material and equipment resources to meet production schedules and costs Manage plant capital expenditure, plant facility including maintenance and upkeeping Lead continuous improvement in manufacturing and business processes to improve the level of product quality, process capability, customer satisfaction and cost reduction Improving processes and policies in support of organisational goals, formulating and implementing departmental and organisational policies and procedures to maximise output, and monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures To succeed in this Head of Operations role, you must be technically sound in operation excellence, have strong leadership experience, and have excellent communication skills. qualification in engineering, food technology or related field of study Minimum of 15 years' work experience in operations management in the food manufacturing environment Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, etc. Knowledge of GMP, AIB, HACCP and ISO standards is highly desirable Ability to conceptualise, develop and subsequently implement best practices organisation wide Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment to drive organisational performance and excellence Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style Excel at operating in a fast-paced, community environment Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done Ability to look at situations from several points of view Demonstrated leadership ability
