Plant Operator

Job Description : PLANT OPERATOR UGANDA The Concrete Batching Plant Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the computerized batching system, overseeing the weighing, and mixing of raw materials, and monitoring the quality of concrete produced. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that concrete production is carried out with consideration to the highest standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Operating the batching plant and monitoring the production process to ensure accurate and efficient production of concrete. · Ensure that raw materials, such as cement, aggregates, and water, are properly measured and mixed according to specified formulas and quality standards. · Monitor the consistency and quality of concrete to ensure it meets project specifications and requirements. · Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety. · Coordinate with other team members, including concrete truck drivers and concrete pump operator to ensure timely delivery of concrete to job sites. · Keep accurate records of production and quality metrics for reporting and analysis. · Ensure that the batching plant, the trucks including the concrete mixers and concrete pumps are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times with zero exceptions. REQUIREMENTS · 10 years of experience in concrete production, with a proven track record of success in operating and maintaining computerized batching systems · Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety procedures, including those from the NRMCA. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with other team members and customers. · Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. · Willingness to work flexible hours, as needed.
