Plant Manager

Job Description : PLANT MANAGER UGANDA will be responsible for operating and maintaining the computerized batching system, overseeing the weighing, and mixing of raw materials, and monitoring the quality of concrete produced. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that concrete production is carried out with consideration to the highest standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Oversee and manage all aspects of the concrete plant operation, including production, quality control, safety, and maintenance. · Manage and supervise plant personnel, including training and evaluating employees. · Ensure that the plant is operating efficiently and meeting production targets. · Monitor and maintain a high level of product quality, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer requirements and specifications. · Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality products. · Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. · Maintain plant equipment and ensure that maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime. · Manage plant inventory and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. · Work closely with sales and marketing to develop new products and improve existing products. · Prepare and submit reports on plant operations, production, and quality control. REQUIREMENTS · 15+ years of experience in concrete production, with a proven track record of success in operating and maintaining computerized batching systems · Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety procedures, including those from the NRMCA. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with other team members and customers. · Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. · Willingness to work flexible hours, as needed.
