20 yearsJob Description : OPERATIONS HEAD DUBAI largest and leading Rigid Industrial Packaging Company for last 42 years in the region catering to entire Middle East/Gulf and Africa. We are in the manufacturing of large Steel Drums, Plastic Drums, Blow Molded Plastic Cans, various sizes/shapes of Tinplate Metal Cans for food, paint, chemical and lubricant segments and as well as Plastic conipails. Executive Profile: We are a fast growing Rigid Industrial Packaging Company operating 365x24 requires highly agile, technically competent person to manage production operations run by estimated 600 workmen in two shifts with a complement of dozen of executives and supervisory staff. Position needs customer focus and can-do attitude ensuring safe, motivated and positive work place. Candidate should have the ability to resolve technical problems with hands-on attitude. Candidates should be result driven, diversified strategic leader. Candidates should be competent in meticulous planning, process reengineering and champion of operations management. Strengths to include big picture focus for developing strategic business solutions including gap and risk analysis, process reengineering. Accomplished with demonstrated ability to deliver mission critical results working in continuous collaboration with stake holders and global supply chain operations. Job Responsibilities: · Oversee day-to-day operations and supervising the workflow of manufacturing and maintenance of operations in a safe environment. · Meeting delivery commitments in coordination with Works Manager and planning department. · Ensuring goods produced are accurate and meets quality standards. · Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives. · Maintaining a preventive maintenance routine for all equipment's and trouble shooting. · Maintain plant policies and ensure strict compliance of HSE. · Maximize Operational Efficiencies of the plant. · Participate in constant search for ways to reduce scrap/ waste and unproductive work. · Identify Skill Set Gaps is current production team and recommend necessary improvements. · Communicate regular feedback to employee and communicate areas of improvement. · Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide clear sense of direction. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime. · Develop systems, process that track, and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. · Stay up to date with latest production management, best practices and concepts. · Work on cost optimization projects. Desired Candidate Profile Educational Background: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 20-25 years of experience in Rigid Package Industry is preferred. Additional qualifications in operational management is an advantage. REQUIREMENTS: A. WORK EXPERIENCE: TINPLATE CAN ASSEMBLY LINE: Hands-on experience in operation of Tinplate Can Manufacturing lines comprising of the following: 1. Automated Slitters tandem slitter with the auto unloading of blanks. 2. Automatic/Semi-Automatic can body welder (medium to high speed) with internal & external side seam protection. 3. Body forming equipment of round & conical cans assembly line comprises of Can body parting necking in expanding - flanging beading seaming ear lug welding-wire handle making & fixing machines -leak testing palletizing & stretch wrapping. 4. Body forming equipment of rectangular/square/irregular shaped can comprises of Expanding, panelling, flanging, beading & curling seaming. 5. Proficient in engineering drawing and reverse engineering of the product. 6. Sound knowledge of tinplate can manufacturing standards quality assurance systems and procedures. TINPLATE CAN COMPONENTS LINE: Hands-on experience in operation of Tinplate Components such as round lids, irregular can lids, pail lug lids and tinplate accessories such as wire handles, clips ear lugs etc. as listed below: 1. Strip, sheet, coil feed press with CNC controls. 2. Tandem feed press. 3. High Speed CNC sheet feed press complete with down line equipment for curling, lining, vision inspection system and automatic sleeve packing. 4. Proficient in engineering drawing and reverse engineering of product. 5. Working knowledge of press tool design/maintenance of all stamping / blanking/ punching tooling used in tinplate can components manufacturing. 6. Sound knowledge of Tin Can Component Manufacturing Standards, Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures TINPLATE PRINTING & COATING LINE: 1. The incumbent must have sound knowledge of Tinlate Printing & Coating lines and pre-press operations. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of operation of Tinplate Metal Decorating line of KBA, Crabtree, Fuji printing and coating lines including LPG fired ovens. 3. Thorough knowledge of pre-press operations such as Colour Management, Workflow and related systems and software is an added advantage. STEEL DRUM LINE: 1. Comprehensive knowledge of Fully Automatic High Speed Vertical/Horizontal Steel Drum manufacturing lines. 2. Fuller knowledge of Automatic Internal/External coating equipments complete with Nordson coating systems & Curing Ovens. 3. Fuller knowledge of Automatic External decorating machines/systems and End of Line Equipments including automatic conveying & handling systems. 4. Fuller knowledge of Automatic Cut to length and stagger Blanking Lines. 5. Complete knowledge of Tight Head/Open Head/Necked-In Open Head/Internally Coated Drum manufacturing. 6. Fuller knowledge at Internal/External coating for Steel Drums. 7. Comprehensive Knowledge of Packaging requirements for transportation of Dangerous goods through Rail, Road, Sea & Air and related UN Testing parameters for steel drums. 8. Comprehensive knowledge of tooling required for manufacturing of Steel drums such as Blanking Dies, Flanging Rings & Seaming Rollers etc. 9. Fully conversant with Steel specifications. PLASTIC BLOW MOULDING: The candidate must have operational knowledge of Rigid Plastic Packaging comprises of the following: · 250ML to 10L Plastic bottles. · 20L to 30L Jerry Cans. · 200L to 250L Open-Head and Tight-Head Plastic Drums. · Injection moulded Plastic Pails up to 20-Liter capacity. · Injection moulded accessories for Plastic and Metal Containers. UTILITIES: Comprehensive knowledge of various utilities used in the manufacturing plant such as screw compressors, packaged chillers, overhead cranes, LPG Distribution systems, Battery/Diesel operated forklifts etc. as an added advantage. F. AGE PROFILE: 45 TO 50 years maximum. G. TRAVEL: Limited. H. DRIVING LICENCE: Not essential for the position.
