20 yearsJob Description : FACTORY DIRECTOR SOUTH AFRICA ( OPEN TO EXPATS OUTSIDE SOUTH AFRICA) a manufacturer and supplier for the automotive industry, is seeking a Financial Director, who will report directly to the Managing Director, who will play a vital role in managing all resources within the Finance and Information Technology Departments ensuring short- and long-term viability of the company by meeting shareholder and company objectives, targets and subsequent results. · Accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the Company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results. · Serve as a member of the executive team and participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operating execution. · Oversee Financial Accounting Dept. to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions. · Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. · Final point of escalation for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable issues. · Ensure all month-end closing activities including control account reconciliation, integrities and reconciliations are in place. · Prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with Group Policies and IFRS. · Key point of contact for External and Internal Auditors – manage preparation and support of all audits. · Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain long term cash forecasts. · Manage on-going banking relationship for maximum efficiency. · Oversee Management Accounting Dept. to ensure the integrity and accuracy of reporting. · Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective action plans; minimizing the impact of variances. · Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required. · Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Company inventory system. · Manage the Company’s foreign exchange exposure in accordance with group hedging policies. · Develop on-going financial business plans, models and forecasts together with the analysis expertise to the business. · Lead the financial modelling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans. · Develop IRR and NPV models and provide the financial analysis to assist with feasibility studies. · Co-ordinate the activities of the Risk Committee and maintain the Risk Register · Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets. · Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. · Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit external legal advice as required. · Monitor all open legal issues involving the Company. · CA/CIMA ( MBA an advantage) · Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. · Minimum 20 years experience out of which at least 10 years’ experience in a Senior Financial Accounting role.
