Supply Chain Head

Job Description : Head-SCM for a Mining company at Zambia. Key Result Areas : 1. Monitor all purchasing activities and directly involved with managing inventory, supplier management and driving out cost in order to improve margins and support revenue growth 2. Effective Inventory Control and Cost Management. 3. Interface with departmental heads to establish material flow including releasing order, receiving materials, issues management and budget proposals. 4. Vendor rating and Development 5. Fully embrace company's quality system to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement. 6. Ensure continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost. Strive to standardize the materials by developing genuine vendors and codifying them in Navision Qualification and Experience ; 1. Bachelors / Master of Science – Supply Chain Services/Business Administration 2. Certifications in CIPS / ZIPS will be an added advantage 3. Minimum 10 years’ work experience in senior management role. Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Characteristics • Excellent analytical and evaluation skills • Good command of both oral and written communication • Possession of good leadership skills • Must be competent in ERP applications. • Excellent knowledge of the commercial regulations
