Deputy General Manager

Job Description : DGM-QA/QC (Mechanical) for a leading EPC based in Central Africa Experience: 15+ years Education : BE / B. Tech - Mechanical Job Responsibilities:- 1. Create, update, and maintain the project submittal log and all other project specific quality control reports. 2. Capacity to interpret various technical specifications and international standards: ASME, AWS, API, BS, etc. 3. Review drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review, and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary" 4. Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the project manager and provide written minutes as described in project specific contract documents." 5. Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard and constructively confronts any non-conformance to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner." 6. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work." 7. Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records." 8. Supports the Construction Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters. 9. Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site. 10. Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity. 11. Supports the construction roles in the management and control. 12. Supports and participate to all the internal/external audits. 13. Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials. 14. Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities. 15. Supports the Welding & Non Destructive Test-NDT qualification activities. 16. Cooperate with the Project Quality Engineer (PQE) to analyses of non conformities. 17. Supervises inspection of defect renewal and welding. 18. Experience in developing and reviewing project quality plans, contract documents and project specifications.
