Job Description : Flexo/Digital Quality Manager (Relocation Assistance Available)--Long Island, NY USA A producer of labels, shrink sleeves and flex pack is seeking an experienced Quality Manager on Long Island. $90-$110k+, 10 paid holidays, company shuts down between Christmas and New Year. Medical, vision, dental, life insurance and 401k with company match. Position will work closely with leadership team. Quality Control Manager will facilitate efficient production operations by planning, leading, and implementing quality assurance (QA) programs including SQF. Needs to have experience in flexo/digital/pouching. Duties/Responsibilities: Provide operational and strategic value by helping the Organization to maintain, improve, and expand customer relationships Collects and evaluates production samples, ensuring that materials and products meet acceptable quality and integrity standards, including floor print job sign-offs. Resolves any customer complaints in a timely manner. Facilitates communication among production departments and management. Drafts and implements policies and procedures to improve the manufacturing process and the quality of goods produced. Drafts and maintains logs, records, and other documentation of testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria. Maintains records of test results, defects identified, and other key metrics related to quality control. Analyzes quality control test results and offers feedback and interpretations of those results to production management or staff. Maintains standard operating procedures, manuals, and documentation for the manufacturing and QA processes. SOP management Document control Compliance audits Non-conforming product resolutions Customer and supplier surveys Document and quality related record management Monitor the production process to minimize variation and optimize consistency Facilitate and oversee all 3rd party audits and certifications Understanding and maintenance of all laboratory testing. Good understanding of color control. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related industrial, scientific, or business field required.
