Project Head

Job Description : PROJECT HEAD RI PLANT OMAN To control and manage project from the Capex & timely completion perspective, which includes making technology finalization, making contracts with vendors and negotiations, generating Capex for the project and analyzing project viability and earnings. This role reports to the CEO Principal Accountabilities: 1. 5 years of experience of operating DRI Plant as its overall in charge/Deputy to the overall in charge 2. Must have handled multiple erections and commissioning activities of numerous equipment's and to ensure the completion of projects on time. 3. Thorough knowledge of running a DRI plant, maintaining highest standard of safety, productivity and ensure optimum energy consumption. 4. Must have past experience in technology finalization, erection and commissioning of at least 2 DRI plants of capacity of 1.5 to 2.5 MTPA with its reformer or zero reformer facility. 5. Must be fully conversant with different DRI plant technologies and the details of all machineries starting from the Pellet Day Bin to the HDRI charging of EAF. 6. Expected that the candidate is fully conversant with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation erection agencies for installation of a DRI plant within time frame and with all safety measures. 7. Interaction with the technology suppliers, consultant & vendors engage in DRI. Day to day interactions with OEM & consultants for engineering. Finalization of best specification of various equipment. 8. Floating enquiry, negotiations and order finalizations. Review of vendor design & equipment specifications. 9. Must have corporate leadership skills to deal with various agencies in a congenial manner to achieve timely completion of the project within the specified cost and vertical startup. 10. Scheduling & Budgeting of DRI plant project Required competences: A team player and a natural leader to build and keep a strong team, believes in open work culture and willing to share knowledge and experience to the team. Safety conscious, competent in MS Office, MS Projects, AutoCAD and propensity to learn and use technology as required. Project design review, suggestions for changes in design and construction which reduces the project cost and time. Procurement planning and execution. Audit of facilities and equipment's. Ensure smooth commissioning at optimal time and cost. Post commissioning, would be leading operations to ensure quick turnaround. Job Specification 1. BE/BTech in Mineral Processing/Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience in the said field can be considered. 2. Through knowledge of Direct reduce Iron System and should have operational expertise 3. 20 Years of work experience 4. Min 15 years' experience in project design, construction and commissioning or must have executed similar project. 5. Should have worked as Project Head/Dy. Project Head in DRI plants for minimum 5 years.
