Job Description : PAPER PLANT MANAGER TANZANIA 12-15 years experience Plant Upkeep/maintenance · Responsibility for all aspects of production process planning development & controls. · Ensure upkeep of all plant equipment and apparatus · Responsible for maintaining overall housekeeping of the department areas. · Ensuring that the machines function at their maximum capacity · Overseeing all production activities to ensure all set SLAs and KPIs were achieved. · Managing, developing and motivating the team to achieve highest possible OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) standards for measuring manufacturing productivity. · Ensuring efficiency of production to maximize profit and meet projections. · Scheduling preventative maintenance with internal mechanics and external specialist machine contractors · Pursue mechanics to repair equipment used by the Company and its Related Companies so that it operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Stock Management · Managing stock levels and orders to ensure stock met with production demand. · Co-ordinate stock take and manage consignment stock. · Handling the planning & scheduling of bespoke product lines for individual clients · Managing production of products within stringent timescale & quality requirements · Ensuring production targets are met whilst achieving efficiency improvements. · Monitoring the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing completed goods · Sourcing spare parts required for the equipment used by the Company and its Related Company Project Management · Planning & implementing new processes to improve overall efficiency & reliability. · Responsible for the planning and coordination of new project · Liaising with senior management and customers to establish future requirements. · Oversee inquiry and research in term of new equipment and methodologies. · Managing preferred list of suppliers & vetting new suppliers prior to preferred status · Building and maintaining key client relationships to ensure all requirements are met. Health & Safety · Conducting regular risk assessments throughout the site to identify hazards. · Ensuring correct Safe Systems of Work procedures are always adhered to. · Conducting incident investigations to identify actions to eliminate potential risks. · Put required measures in place to ensure 100% safety is maintained. Financial · Monitor associated costs of finished products on a regular basis and to control cost element. · Prepare and submit annual budget for review and approval. · Monitor production variances and implement corrective action.
