Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR MADRID SPAIN An important company in the energy sector is looking for an Operations Director to lead its strategic projects for sustainable development and new energy technologies. DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS The position will be part of the business unit leadership team and will be responsible for directing the strategy and implementation of operations. He will be responsible for all aspects related to the execution of projects on time, quality, form, budget, safety and quality, as well as the operation and maintenance of the plants. It will report to the DG of the unit, among its functions: Plan and successfully execute projects (engineering, construction, commissioning, commissioning). Direct the administrative processes of obtaining permits to allow the development and execution of the project, guaranteeing compliance with the required deadlines, obtaining environmental approvals. Supervise and report the progress of the projects to the senior management of the group. Define and implement operational and maintenance activities, plan and supervise operations and budget preparation. Comprehensive management of the plants, supervising the proper functioning of the operation and maintenance team. Ensure compliance with PRL measures, process safety, protection plans, environment and quality, annual plans, audits, procedures. Management of the income statement of the plants, cost control, purchasing management and contracting of service companies and suppliers. Desirable degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Mining or similar with more than 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy or industrial environment sector and with experience in operations management positions or similar. Combined experience in project management, project development and/or operations for new businesses will be valued. English very high.
